Joe Stivers

Hello my name is Joe Stivers.  I'm 54 years old and have lived here in the Reno area since 1975.  My wife Sue and I have been married for 35 years and have a wonderful son James (28 yrs) and two beautiful granddaughters: Kristen (11 yrs) and Jamie (10 yrs).  Our home is located in Spanish Springs.  I had my Heart Transplant on January 22, 1998 at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.  My new Heart was donated by a very thoughtful and giving 25 year old man named Daniel who carried an organ donor card.  I recently had the privilege of meeting and thanking in person Daniel's family.  Thanks to these wonderful people I am once again able to have a very active and happy life playing golf, fishing, boating and spending time with my family.
